To immigrate to Lithuania, you will need to apply for the appropriate visa and residence permit based on the purpose of your stay. Below are the general requirements for different types of Lithuanian visas:

 

Short-Stay Visa (Type C)

For stays up to 90 days within a 180-day period (tourism, business, family visits, etc.):

  1. Completed Visa Application Form.
  2. Passport: Valid for at least three months beyond the intended stay.
  3. Passport-Sized Photos: Recent, colored.
  4. Proof of Accommodation: Hotel reservation or invitation from a host.
  5. Proof of Sufficient Financial Means: Bank statements, employment letter, etc.
  6. Travel Itinerary: Flight reservations, travel plan.
  7. Travel Insurance: Valid for the entire Schengen area with a minimum coverage of €30,000.
  8. Purpose-Specific Documents: For business, invitation from a Lithuanian company; for tourism, detailed travel plan, etc.

Long-Stay Visa (Type D)

For stays longer than 90 days (work, study, family reunification, etc.):

Work Visa:

  1. Work Permit: Obtained by the employer from the Lithuanian Employment Service.
  2. Employment Contract: Signed by both employer and employee.
  3. Proof of Accommodation: Lease agreement or proof of residence.
  4. Health Insurance: Valid in Lithuania.
  5. Background Check: Police clearance certificate.

Study Visa:

  1. Letter of Acceptance: From a Lithuanian educational institution.
  2. Proof of Sufficient Financial Means: Bank statements or sponsorship letter.
  3. Proof of Accommodation: Dormitory reservation or rental agreement.
  4. Health Insurance: Valid in Lithuania.
